By-Elections

I’ve stayed clear of politics on my blog for a while, mainly cause there are so many others who can do it so much better – but what I can’t understand is the sheer hypocrisy from candidates. Apparently the Conservative party candidate Tony Lit was at a Labour fund-raising event with Prime Minister Blair only ten days before he switched the the Tories. There is rumour also that he paid a donation to Labour at this time. This raises a few questions for the Tories and Labour;

1. Do the Tory leadership know that Mr Lit was rubbing shoulders (and possibly making a donation) with Blair’s boys before he jumped ship to them.

2. How can anyone trust a man who chops and changes his allegiance, and presumably his political stance enough to vote for him.

3. Do Labour have to give the money back or can they use it to fund campaigning against this indecisive man.

Update: it doesn’t look like a rumour.

    To be fair, Cameron is a Blair clone. So although he has changed parties he has probably changed his politics less than if he went with that nice Mr Brown.

    Alternatively, he is labour through & through and its a remarkably sucessful Brown plot to wreck the Tories by-election chances & get a vote of no confidence in Tony Cameron.
