So living here is ace, I love it. You know that. But my plans to stop in more in order to save money have fallen flat on their face…again.
Wednesday night was the night of the Whispers Pro Evo Tournament – for those of you who don’t know, pro evo is the poorly made, badly executed version of FIFA Football game for various Computers and consoles. I don’t do ‘Pro’ but I went along to support the boys and take some pics and videos of the nights entertainment.
Thursday night was a quiet one, however it was Shar’s birthday and I promised to go out so me and Aaron did that, only had a few beers and felt very old and very sober (well I did!).
Friday, After turning down the opportunity to go to a house party based on my lack of available funds I found myself being dragged to the Crown for beers and tequila (none of which I could afford) and then to Pussycats for a friends leaving do as she’s off around Europe for three months – lucky sod. I stumbled in about 3am and passed out on the sofa. Woke up about 8am and climbed the mountainous stairs to bed.
Saturday, Hung over and not really wanting to do anything I slept most of the day and then out to the White Lion, Rasputin’s, Whispers and Pussycats for Kitch’s Stag Do – Part III ™. Too much sambuca and lager just about finished me off by about 3:30 and again, I staggered home and passed out down stairs.
So in essence, 4 great nights that I really couldn’t have missed and really couldn’t afford but had promised to attend each and every one. Looking at that I think perhaps 4 nights in a row is probably as bad for my liver as my wallet so I’ve decided not to have a drink till at least this coming friday – perhaps longer if the will power will allow.
Oh yeah, in-between all that socialising I’m still working, still haven’t had that pay rise but have been given a shiny new Mac Book Pro and today a company mobile phone – I’m guessing they want me to start working out of hours too. Hopefully the payrise is not too far behind. Gadgets are good, but don’t pay the rent.
I finally finished my Bryson book and am now half way through Palin’s – 80 days around the world. Stav bought me the Wogan auto biography the other day so I’m looking forward to reading that.
Still haven’t got the washing machine plumbed in. Sill haven’t got a freezer. Still haven’t got the blinds for the sky lights. Still haven’t got Sky. Did smash the freeview remote to pieces the other day. Still haven’t called the council about a wheely bin. Still looking forward to that week off in September.
How very dare you foul mouth Pro, again!
FIFA isn’t a scratch on Pro and you were the ONLY person to disagree at the tournament.
Still, all good fun though
Actually mate, lots of people said they’d prefer Fifa, we just didn’t want to upset you.
Wooden ladders? Talk to me.
i have a plan switch your living room and bedroom
