I have been slowly working on a new website for my regular boozer, the Crown Inn. Over the years the site has been a mish mash of all sorts of things but mostly static html pages – this time it is wordpress driven and has some funky features like the calendar and a blog (news) section which I’m hoping to teach John Ellis how to update it himself.
The site has gone live tonight because John and Tanja are attending the Morning Advertiser Great British Pub awards as the Crown Inn is up for two awards. Next year I’d like to nominate the site for Best pub website – looking at last years winner I’m sure we can beat it – especially if we utilise the wordpress back end to it’s full potential with regular blogs from John, pictures and features etc.
There is still some tweaking to do with the site but I’m pretty happy with it.
